IWM Duxford Jubilee Air Show 2012

This programme is part of a bigger collection, which presents the highlights of 5 days action from The Imperial War Museum’s May, September and October shows at Duxford. The weather at each event was ideal for filming with clear air and some dramatic cloud back-drops.

Locally based and visiting warbirds flew some imaginative and nostalgic formations; the Eagle Squadron P-47, P-51, Spitfire and Hurricane with the Red Arrows; TFC’s Hawks plus Wildcat and Bearcat.

Modern military included Typhoon, Apache, La Patrouille France but the star for many was a giant Boeing 747 8F Jumbo Jet.
