IWM Duxford Air Show September 2014
The crowd came for the Canadian Lancaster and warbirds but the Boeing 727 stole the show.
Duxford booked its usual magnificent weather for what turned our to be a classic September show.
The big day 1 attraction was the Vulcan arriving with 2 diminutive Gnats in tow – what a contrast of contemporaries. A Hunter and Jet Provost pair continued the classic jet theme.
A capacity crowd on day 2 thrilled to sight and sound of 2 Avro Lancasters and their fighter escorts. The rare Hellcat and Corsair were joined by the Bearcat, P-40 and Hawk 75, 4 Spitfires and a Hurricane.
The Great War Display Team filled the sky but the show star for many was the energetic Boeing 727.
