RAF Cosford Airshow 2016

RAF Cosford Air Show 2016 was jam-packed full of aviation action. This programme features the very best of it all and makes for an excellent souvenir of the day.

The 100-year anniversary of the Battle of the Somme was marked with a display by the Great War Display Team, performing a stunning dogfight scenario in the skies over Cosford.

The show also celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Air Cadet Organisation with an impressive gathering of Chipmunks as well as a solo display. We go on board with in-cockpit cameras. We’ll also join Lauren Richardson with a tail-cam view of her Pitts Special aerobatic routine.

Modern military displays include the RAF Typhoon in the hands of Flt Lt Mark Long. He talks to us about the thrill of displaying this multi-role combat aircraft.
