RNAS Yeovilton International Air Day 2018
Air Day 2018 was one of the Royal Navy’s premier public events of the year. Foreign military participants included the Danish F-16, Canadian CF-188 and Demo Team Zeus. From France came a pair of Rafales joined by solo Falcon 50 and two historic naval types, the Paris and Zéphyr.
Representing British historic naval aviation were the Swordfish and Sea Fury, the latter joined in formation by the Mig-15. The Flying Bulls’ Bristol Sycamore helicopter was a highlight of the show for many.
As ever, the finale to the flying display was a pyrotechnic-laden Commando Helicopter Force Role Demonstration complete with Royal Marines, air support and, of course, the ‘Wall of Fire’!
