Airbourne: Eastbourne’s International Airshow is always a highlight of the airshow season for PlanesTV. A show with a fabulous atmosphere to accompany the varied flying display. The seafront makes for a beautiful setting for the many thousands of spectators.
Unfortunately weather caused cancellation of the flying on the first day of the event but the following three days saw some superb action in the air, we’ve chosen the best of it for your enjoyment here.
Foreign participants included the newly restored MiG-15 from the Norwegian Air Force Historical Squadron and Patrouille Reva, flying a unique formation display with their Acroez and Long-eze aircraft.
A camera on Beachy Head adds to the drama with Vulcan passing beneath the vantage point and over the turquoise sea below. This was the last Airbourne for AVRO Vulcan XH558 as 2015 was her final display season.
No Eastbourne show would be complete without the magnificent Royal Air Force Aerobatic team the Red Arrows. Their display conducted is some beautiful blue skies before night fell and it was time for the evening display. The Aerosparx team flew a remarkable routine equipped with wingtip pyrotechnics before the show was closed by a dramatic fireworks display on the beach.
