PlanesTV will be broadcasting live from the world's biggest military airshow, the Royal International Air Tattoo. Over 250 aircraft from approximately 30 nations, 14 fast jet solo displays, 6 national aerobatic teams... strap in for six days of live action, from the first arrival to the last departure.

100 years of the Royal Canadian Air Force will be commemorated with displays and heritage formations by a special scheme CF-18 and ex-RCAF Spitfire. 75 years of NATO will be marked by a special flypast, led by the E-3 and RC-135, flanked by a fleet of elusive fast jets. To celebrate 50 years of the F-16, RIAT will assemble one of the biggest gatherings of Fighting Falcons ever seen at a public event, with more than 20 aircraft from Morocco, Jordan, Romania, the USA and other nations appearing on static display, and further examples from Poland, Turkey and Denmark in the air. And in salute to the 50th anniversary of the Hawk, all three national aerobatic teams flying the T.1-series Hawk (the Red Arrows, Midnight Hawks and Saudi Hawks) will be appearing in the flying display.

Other flying display highlights will include the Boeing F-15QA Ababil, Spanish Harrier, Embraer KC-390, USAF U-2, RAF F-35B, the Patrouille Suisse, Hungarian JAS-39C Gripen, German EF2000 and plenty more besides, making for up to 7.5 hours of flying displays per day. In the static, meanwhile, we'll welcome rare types such as a Serbian C295, Turkish F-4 Phantoms, Qatari C-17, Saudi F-15, Spanish SF-5s, French Mirage 2000s, Italian Tornado and a large USAF contingent, including the KC-10 and B-52.
